FAQ

What is the Garden Theatre?
Located in the heart of historic downtown Winter Garden on Plant Street, the Garden Theatre is a not-for-profit organization committed to enriching, engaging, and entertaining through creative experiences.  The theatre, which reopened 2008, showcases an atmospheric theatre in a Mediterranean Revival style venue.  The Garden Theatre hosts live plays, concerts, movies, and more to the residents of and visitors to the city of Winter Garden.

How do I find out what’s playing or coming soon?
The Garden Theatre website is the best place for up-to-date information on upcoming events. If an event is taking place at the Garden Theatre but is not listed on the site, it either means that it is not open to the public or is being ticketed by someone renting the theatre.

Do I need a reservation?
We recommend getting your tickets at least a week in advance if possible.  The Garden Theatre is an intimate venue with 299 seats, so some performances fill up quickly.  If tickets are available the night of the show, they are sold on a first-come, first-served basis and seating may be limited.

What age is your senior ticket rate?

60 years and up.

When is the box office open?
Over the summer, the box office is open 12-6pm Wed-Sat, and as always, two hours prior to show time.

How much are tickets?
Ticket prices range from $10-29. Check show prices on this website under ‘Buy Tickets’ or call the box office.

What’s the difference between reserved seating and general admission?
When purchasing tickets, be sure to note what type of seating the show is. Typically, our live season and select events are reserved seating. Once you’ve purchased reserved seating tickets, those specific seats are assigned to you. General admission seating is used for movies and certain special events. If you’ve purchased general admission tickets, we suggest arriving up to 45 minutes early for you to locate your desired seats.

How do I get my tickets if I purchase them online?
Once you’ve made a ticket purchase (under the Buy Tickets tab), you’ll receive an email confirmation. You may present the printed confirmation when picking up tickets before the show. If it’s a general admission show, we suggest arriving up to 45 minutes early for you to get your desired seats. Tickets will not be mailed to you.

Where and what is Will Call?
Will Call is the place in each venue where you pick up tickets that you have ordered and paid for in advance. The Will Call window is located in the historic Ticket Booth in the center of the Garden Theatre entrance.

What is Garden Theatre’s wait list policy?
If a show is sold out, we cannot guarantee seats to patrons wanting to purchase tickets. Generally the Garden Theatre does not offer a wait list.  Please call the box office for wait list information on the particular show.

What is your latecomer seating policy? Latecomer seating is at the discretion of the house manager and is decided upon on a per show basis.

What should I wear to a performance?
We encourage you to wear whatever you feel comfortable in. Jeans and tennis shoes are perfectly acceptable, although some patrons prefer to dress more formally. When in doubt, business casual is always appropriate.

When do doors open?
Doors to begin seating will open 30 minutes prior to the show. Keep in mind, general admission means seating is first-come, first-served.

Can I bring in outside food and drink? Do you offer concessions?
As a non-profit organization, we are able to keep our ticket prices low by offsetting our costs with concession sales.  Please enjoy our selection of snacks and beverages available in the lobby.
